Dynamico

My good friend who gave me the sadly-lost Ibanez autofilter years ago also gave me a box that an American friend of his had left with him upon leaving Australia, and he in turn decided to pass on. It's been sitting tucked away in my living room for ages, and I recently decided to have a closer look at it...

This is a very well-known kit valve preamplifier from the mid-20th Century that is still fondly looked-upon today. The only solid-state in the whole thing is the now-hopelessly outdated (and undesirable) selenium rectifier visible next to the transformer, and the whole thing appears in good working order, with the valves still retaining their reflective "getter" coatings at the top of the bulbs. Time to test!
